Australia currently has a ban on the transportation of trophies way before the death of Cecil. Without the transpiration of trophies, the trade stops flat.
Australia is also the origin of a few non-profits that have made headways in the war on poaching. Including the International Anti Poaching Foundation founded by Damien Mander, Ex-Sniper of the Australian Armed Forces who spoke at a TED talk.
Next up is a country where the head of state (president) is taking a step against poaching.
