france bans

Great news for lion lovers as France has just announced a public ban on lion trophies. France has been known for importing around 100 lion trophies on an annual basis but this number will be dropping to 0 as authorities cease issuing permits showing their support against trophy hunting.

The news has brought about joy for many European non profits especially UK-based charity Lionaid that is currently campaigning the UK government to implement a UK version of CECIL Act. many animal activists hope that this would start a domino effect among EU nations as more and more people everywhere are are taking a stand against trophy hunting and protesting at the local government.

Let’s hope more and more countries will get onto the bandwagon and ensure there will be lions for the next generation.
